What  do you notice?

I remember my grandmother used to say “you can tell if it will be a cold winter by the
number of berries on the Holly plant” What is different or varies in the two photographs? If
what my grandmother said was true, what do you think the winters will be like?

Once when we were driving home on a dark country road suddenly a black car shot across
the crossroads a bit in front of us. My Son said “I bet dark coloured cars have more
accidents than light coloured ones” Let us list the variables in these two stories. What
values do they have?
